Carolina FlexShield™ Warranty Coverage
At Carolina Surfacing, we stand behind the quality of our work and materials. Every installation is backed by our comprehensive 10 year material and workmanship warranty, giving you peace of mind and confidence in your investment.
10 Year Material and Workmanship Warranty
Our warranty covers both the materials used in your Carolina FlexShield™ rubber surfacing system and the quality of our professional installation.
What's Covered
- Material Defects - Coverage against defects in the rubber surfacing materials, including premature degradation, cracking, or separation under normal use conditions
- Installation Workmanship - Coverage for issues related to the quality of installation, including adhesion failures, seam separation, or improper surface preparation
- Color Stability - Protection against excessive fading or color degradation beyond normal weathering
- Structural Integrity - Coverage for loss of slip resistance or impact absorption properties due to material or installation defects
Warranty Period
The 10 year warranty period begins on the date of installation completion and final project acceptance. The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original property owner.
Warranty Conditions
To maintain warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:
- Proper Maintenance - The surface must be maintained according to our Maintenance & Care Guide
- Normal Use - The surface must be used for its intended purpose (pool deck, splash pad, patio, etc.) under normal residential or commercial conditions
- No Unauthorized Modifications - No alterations, repairs, or modifications by parties other than Carolina Surfacing or authorized representatives
- Proper Drainage - The underlying substrate must maintain proper drainage as designed and installed
What's Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage from improper maintenance, neglect, or failure to follow care instructions
- Damage from accidents, abuse, vandalism, or acts of nature (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes)
- Normal wear and tear, including minor surface scratches or scuffs from regular use
- Damage from chemical spills, harsh cleaning agents, or unauthorized treatments
- Damage from underlying substrate failure, settling, or movement not caused by our installation
- Color variations due to normal UV exposure and weathering
- Damage from snow removal equipment, sharp objects, or excessive point loads
- Issues arising from modifications to the surface or surrounding area by others
Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us - Reach out to Carolina Surfacing at info@carolinasurfacing.com with a description of the issue and photos if possible
- Inspection - We will schedule an inspection to assess the reported issue and determine if it's covered under warranty
- Resolution - If the claim is approved, we will repair or replace the affected area at no cost to you
- Timeline - We strive to respond to warranty claims within 5-7 business days and complete approved repairs as quickly as possible
Warranty Service
For warranty-covered issues, Carolina Surfacing will, at our discretion:
- Repair the affected area to restore it to proper condition
- Replace the affected section with materials of equal or better quality
- Provide a pro-rated credit toward future services if repair is not feasible
Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your Carolina FlexShield™ rubber surfacing installation.

Beyond our warranty, we recommend:
- Following our Maintenance & Care Guide to maximize the life of your surface
- Scheduling periodic inspections to catch minor issues before they become major problems
- Keeping records of all maintenance and cleaning activities
- Contacting us immediately if you notice any changes or concerns
