Beach Cove Resort

Project Snapshot

1. Resort Walkthrough & Guest-Flow Planning

We started by walking the pool deck and surrounding paths to confirm measurements, drainage patterns, and peak guest movement. With the resort environment in mind, we mapped a plan that kept work organized and protected the experience while ensuring the finished surface performed in wet, high-traffic conditions.

2. Coastal Substrate Prep & Targeted Repairs

The existing surface was removed where needed and the deck was thoroughly cleaned and mechanically prepped so the new system could properly bond. Cracks, worn areas, and uneven sections were repaired and leveled to create a stable, consistent base built for long-term durability.

3. Clean-Zone Protection & Safe Work Staging

Pool coping, drains, walls, and nearby fixtures were carefully masked and protected to keep lines crisp and the surrounding area spotless. We established clean work zones and staging so the site stayed safe, controlled, and professional from start to finish.

4. High-Adhesion Primer for Long-Term Hold

A high-performance primer and bonding step was applied to secure the connection between the existing base and the new rubber surface. This layer is critical for resisting coastal moisture, temperature swings, and the daily wear that comes with resort use.

5. Custom Resort Blend & FlexShield™ Installation

We created a custom TPV rubber color blend that fit the setting and reduced glare while keeping the deck comfortable underfoot. The Carolina FlexShield™ system was hand-troweled to the specified thickness to deliver a smooth, slip-resistant finish designed to stay cooler and look consistent across large open areas.

6. Edge Detailing, Cure, & Reopen Readiness

Transitions, drains, steps, and perimeter edges were refined for a seamless look and clean water flow. After proper curing, we performed a final inspection for safety, slip resistance, and visual uniformity so the area could reopen with confidence.
