Why Rubber for Patios & Walkways?

Steady Footing

Fine, slip-resistant texture that supports everyday traffic and rainy days.

Comfortable Underfoot

Softer feel than bare concrete; quieter for chairs and footsteps.

Covers Patchwork

Goes over sound slabs to unify cracks, stains, or mismatched sections without a tear-out.

Before & After

Before
When we first walked it, the path felt uneven—different pours, small cracks, and a few slick patches after storms.

After
Now it reads as one piece. The texture is steady, the color is even, and the walk from door to patio feels calm and simple to keep clean.

How It’s Installed

1. Site check & layout
We confirm slopes for drainage, note door thresholds and step heights.

2. Clean & surface prep
Pressure rinse and degrease; remove loose coatings or sealers. Light profile where needed for adhesion.

3. Crack, edge & void repair
Fill hairline cracks and small spalls. Tighten up slab edges at steps and landings so borders finish cleanly.

4. Prime
Apply an adhesion primer matched to the substrate (most often concrete). This evens absorption and promotes a uniform bond.

5. Mix & hand-trowel rubber system
Blend TPV rubber granules with binder and trowel to an even, low-profile texture suitable for everyday foot traffic and wet weather.

6. Detail work & transitions
Finish borders, step nosings, posts, and around drains. Create smooth transitions to pavers.

7. Cure & walkthrough
Allow the surface to cure, then review care and re-open timing.

Entries, steps & thresholds

Totally transformed our decking around the pool! It’s soft to walk on and it’s cool to the feet. We walked on it in the heat of the day at 96 degrees outside. It will save a lot of scratched up toes and knees for the grandchildren.
