Myrtle Beach Cove Splash Pads
Project Snapshot
1. Pool-Deck Walk & Guest-Use Mapping
We started with a walkthrough of the kids splash area and adjacent wet-traffic routes to confirm scope, drainage behavior, and peak guest movement. Because this is a family resort environment with multiple water features, we planned the work around clear access, clean staging, and predictable boundaries.
2. Coastal-Condition Surface Prep
Beachfront environments introduce extra wear—humidity, salt air, and higher residue from sunscreen and pool traffic. We removed compromised material where needed and prepared the substrate so the new system could bond uniformly and perform long-term in a wet, high-use setting.
3. Contained Work Zones with Clean Edges
We protected surrounding finishes and established controlled work zones so the area stayed organized and guest-safe. The goal was to maintain a clean, professional look throughout the process—especially on a pool deck where every edge is visible.
4. Primer/Bond Step for Long-Term Hold
A high-performance primer/bond layer was applied to lock in adhesion between the base and the rubber surface. This step helps resist edge breakdown and premature wear in wet/dry cycling common to resort pool decks.
5. Rubber Surfacing Install for Kids Splash Areas
The rubber surfacing system was hand-troweled to the specified thickness/texture to deliver a smooth, slip-resistant finish designed for barefoot comfort and confident traction in wet zones—supporting safer play and easier day-to-day upkeep.
6. Transitions, Drain Tie-Ins & Final Check
We detailed perimeters, transitions, and drain tie-ins for clean water flow and a seamless finished appearance. After proper curing, we completed a final safety/consistency check and provided care guidance so the splash area could reopen with confidence.
